In this series, you will learn how to meditate on your own and in circle with others, and use the art of journaling to reflect about your experience as you go deeper into creating pauses with a mindfulness practice.

In meditation, you will learn about how to be mindful in body, mind and breath and create a daily practice. Each week we will explore different aspects of meditation and enjoy the community of practicing together. We will enhance this process with journaling starting with creating your own journal (all supplies will be provided). You do not need to have any experience with either meditation or journaling. You will be welcomed into a safe and supportive environment to explore both.

This series will be co-facilitated by:

Judi Malcolm, a certified Shamatha meditation instructor, mindful leadership facilitator, mandala and watercolor artist. (www.cedarskystone.ca)
Heidi Abbott, an art therapist who currently facilitates the weekly open art therapy studio at the MAC Monday evenings, and has a private art therapy practice “Yellow Bird Art Therapy” (yellowbirdarttherapy.ca).
