    Since 1973, the Errington Farmers’ Market has served the communities of Errington, Coombs, Hilliers, Whiskey Creek, and Parksville.“Make it, Bake it, Grow it” is the basic tenet of farmers’ markets. This means that in order to sell at the market, each vendor has to be directly involved in the making, baking or growing of their product! Customers are encouraged to ask questions of the farmers, food producers and artisans to receive knowledgeable, accurate answers.Shopping at farmers’ markets is a way to truly “Support Local”, and it’s a great way to connect with people in the area, learn new things, and try different foods.Finding us is easy!     We have nine new classes for Creative Kids ages 8-12.  Our instructors Shania Frampton and Alex Carr will be here to lead the way!

    Classes run Tuesdays through Thursdays from July 11- 27 and repeat from August 1 – 17.
    Choose between am (10-12) and pm (1-3) classes so you can hit the beach before or after your class.

    This workshop has been offered every summer since 2010. Some past workshops have included Little Mermaid Jr., Aladdin Jr., Guys & Dolls Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., Godspell Jr., to name a few. Numerous teens have taken the workshop summer-after-summer. Many have (subsequently) taken post-secondary studies in music / theatre / dance. And a few have become professionals in the performing arts.


    Over the 3-week period, and under the tutelage / direction of experienced professionals, led by Hilary Whelton and Miranda Murphy, participants will undertake to audition, prepare, rehearse and perform this lively, beloved, teen-adapted musical classic .


    The purpose of the program is to provide an opportunity for youth to participate in a stimulating, high-calibre, performing arts experience during the summer months.  Participants receive instruction / training from superbly-qualified professionals in a friendly, supportive, purposeful environment.

    The Errington Hall serves as the creative hub of our community located in Area F of the Nanaimo Regional District

    We foster arts and culture through our events and programs and also support the arts-based activities of non-profit community groups and organizations.

    As a Community Presenter, we arrange an annual series of concerts and dances with professional touring artists. Local musicians perform at a monthly coffee house. We produce “A Night at the Palace,” an annual vaudeville burlesque show with a live band that has a four-night run in February. New additions to our programming are a children’s choir and pre-school and after school music classes. We organize a Christmas Concert, Christmas Craft Fair, Halloween dance and the Pumpkin Trail performance arts evening in the Errington Park. Our annual Hi Neighbour Festival in August celebrates community arts, music, and pastimes. We host the annual Islands Luthiers Guild showcase as well as film

    Singing, fiddle, guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, dobro and special guests ukulele and any string instrument you wish to develop. Learn traditional songs, vocal harmonies and the roll of each instrument in bluegrass music.

    CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - FERRY BUILDING GALLERY

    Calling all artists on the North Shore, Sea-to-Sky corridor, Bowen Island & Sunshine Coast. Submissions are now open for the 2024 Ferry Building Gallery exhibition program (for both solo and group exhibitions). Submissions are accepted online only.

     The Ferry Building Gallery is a public community art gallery operated by the District of West Vancouver and is located in the heart of Ambleside at Ambleside Landing. Situated in a heritage building, the gallery serves as a hub for arts and culture. The gallery presents up to 11 exhibitions annually and promotes art education and appreciation through a wide range of events and programs, including participating in the annual

    Harmony Arts Festival, which attracts local and international visitors and artists.

     All Submitting Artists Must:

    • Be a past or present resident of the North Shore, Bowen Island, Sunshine Coast, or Sea-to-Sky corridor.
    • Not be exclusively represented by a commercial gallery in Britis
