Have you been curious about trying an art class, but not sure what medium you would like? Not ready to commit to a full class (and art supplies) if you don’t know you’ll like it? Why not try this sampler course?
Art Bites is a course designed to give you a taste of a variety of art mediums. Each 2-hour class introduces you to a new medium and show you the basic techniques using a small array of supplies. Everything is provided; you don’t have to bring a thing! Go home each week with a piece of your own and a sense of how this art medium works.
Pick and choose one or more classes. Classes are $35 each.
AM classes are 10am-12pm; PM classes are 1-3 pm.

This starter Zentangle class is a fun and relaxing way to explore the world of Zentangle. We’ll learn some basic ‘tangles’ as well as the philosophy and method of this satisfying art form. Anyone can create beautiful art using structured patterns, pen, and ink!

About the Instructor: Rhonda Roy discovered Zentangle in 2015, became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) in April 2016 and has been teaching Zentangle classes and creating Zentangle Inspired Art since then. Rhonda believes we are all born with a need and an ability to create, and that Zentangle is a great way to awaken that creative side in us all.

The MAC’s Art Foundations Program is designed for people who want more formal education in the basics of visual art theory, as well as techniques for different mediums. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the principles of art and how they might apply to their own art practice.
Each of our classes will touch on areas such as line, composition, perspective, and colour, while giving you more in-depth practise in the medium or technique offered.
All of our instructors are artists, and many of them are also professional teachers. Our faculty is skilled at providing a friendly and relaxing experience while you learn.
Classes run on Mondays, from 10 am – 2 pm

Meditation: Learn how to be mindful in body, mind and breath and create a daily mindfulness practice.
Journaling: We begin by creating a personalized journal (all supplies will be provided) and then you will be offered inspiration and guidance in starting a journaling practice.
You do not need to have any experience with either meditation or journaling. You will be welcomed into a safe and supportive environment to explore both and discover how they work so well together.

FINGERPICKING TECHNIQUES

teaches you basic finger picking skills, how to pick chords and how to pick a tune introducing, you to simple TABS.
Pre-requisite for both workshops – players should be able to strum and change between basic chords
