The Errington War Memorial Hall has been an arts venue for the last 100 years, in 2012 we were the first organization in our area to receive sponsorship from the BC Touring Council to present touring artists. Even though our capacity is only 180, it means we can afford to present award winning musicians at reasonable ticket prices. If you see a show from the list below that interests you, tickets are available at Shades of Green, Errington General Store, and online at ErringtonHall.Tickit.ca. Please note our events are family friendly.

While the Hi Neighbour Day dance with The Apollos is just a summer memory, there are seven more upcoming concerts. The first is a dance on September 30 with two popular bands, Shred Kelly and Elliott Brood. Their styles are folk rock and county rock respectively and both groups are mainstage festival performers. Check out Shred Kelly here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rESHAj6QSZ0 and then Elliott Brood, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4ii_oAB1gk. We’re still shaking our heads over being fortunate enough to snag both bands for the same evening!

The Palace Band you may already know as the group providing all the great live music for our annual vaudeville burlesque show, The Night at the Palace (which is coming up again in February). On this occasion, the band is playing for the annual Halloween costume dance on October 28. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100069989402478

November 18 sees perennial favourite Blue Moon Marquee, a Swing/ Blues/ Boogie/ Gypsy Jazz band. Metis singer songwriter A.W. Cardinal and force of nature Jasmine Collette swept the Maple Blues Awards this years, winning in four categories. Here’s a taste of their music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKHbfunAhjg

Zimbamoto is our choice to play a hot world music concert/ dance on January 20 in the coldest month of the year. Band leader Kurai Blessing Mubaiwa is a Zimbabwean master of the mbira (thumb piano) and marimba who’s gathered some of Vancouver’s best world music artists to perform an energetic evening of Afro Fusion music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMkd6moW2TY

Next up on March 16 is Australian singer songwriter and amazing guitarist Daniel Champagne, most likely performing to another full house https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3RqlTpxtw4

Coming on April 27 we present folk icon and raconteur Valdy, who should need no introduction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU_K_Z7JKz4

Horsefly BC’s eminent residents Pharis & Jason Romero grace our stage on May 4 for the last show of the season. They’ll be bringing two other musicians to make the night even more memorable. Their latest CD, “Tell ‘em You Were Gold” has just won a score of awards for songs like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbvYEZdWU_k

The Hall has a web page (wwwErringtoHall.ca) showing the events and we also post a Facebook page with more current information.
