Roselyn Scott
Artist – Qualicum Beach
After retiring to Vancouver Island in 2006, Roselyn (“Ros”) Scott discovered a new passion for painting. Before that, she had explored her creativity through quilting and Tiffany-style glass work — early expressions of her lifelong love of colour, design, and craftsmanship.
Ros has taken numerous art classes, learning from many talented local artists. She believes that the depth of artistic skill and generosity of spirit within the Island’s creative community is truly inspiring.
She primarily paints scenic landscapes drawn from her own photographs and, on occasion, from images shared by friends — who, she notes with appreciation, are always generous in allowing her to put her own “spin” on their work.
