Lynn Orris
Exhibit Feb 3 - May 1
Lynn was born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1943. She was introduced to art at an early age through the family gallery and picture framing shop.
As a child, Lynn attended classes at the Edmonton Art Gallery. Several years later, with the encouragement of family and friends, she enrolled in University of Alberta Extension courses, studying drawing, watercolor, oil painting and etching.
To further hone her skills, she has continued to take workshops with many skilled artisans over the years., including herself to sumi-e painting and China painting on porcelain, both very disciplined mediums.
Lynn was a resident artist at TOSH for 26 years and is now a resident artist at the MAC. She is an active member of the Decosmos Fine Arts Society and the FCA.
Lynn continues to paint in all mediums as well as teaching art. Miniature Painting is a great love but she continues to explore all techniques such as mixed media, collage, print making and jewelry with polymer clay.
Her work has been exhibited in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, Canada and are including in private collections in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Europe, Japan and Pakistan.
