Ocean Breath

Ocean Breath captures the natural rhythm of the sea, with a flowing wave rising beneath a radiant sun. Hand-painted dot patterns bring this coastal scene to life, reflecting the peaceful, breathing movement of water meeting light at the horizon.

Created while exploring larger circular compositions, this piece allowed me to experiment with greater freedom in colour and movement. As the layers of dots gradually built, the wave began to take shape in a way that felt almost alive, capturing the energy and flow of the ocean.

The contrast between the warmth of the sun and the cool movement of the water reflects the balance I often feel when standing at the shoreline. While painting this piece, I was amazed by how something as simple as individual dots could come together to express the living energy of the sea.

Through my work, I explore colour, pattern, movement, and the stories that connect us to the natural world. Ocean Breath is a reflection of the ocean’s quiet power and the sense of wonder it inspires.
