Kaimerata Concerts presents The Music of Robert Schumann

Kaimerata Concerts, in association with Oceanside Classical Concerts Society, will present the chamber music of Robert Schumann in two different performances on August 14 and 15. The works will include Schumann’s ever-so-popular Piano Quintet and Piano Quartet; the incredible Fantasy for solo piano; a passionate violin and piano sonata from his late period, plus one of his wonderful string quartets. We will talk about his beautiful love story with Clara; his tumultuous relationship with his piano teacher; his importance in the rise and development of the Romantic movement; his antagonism to Liszt and Wagner, and his unfortunate last years when he was committed to an asylum. The music is very special. Very romantic. Very sensitive. Very moving. Tickets are available for one or both concerts.
