This is a workshop for anyone curious about spinning yarn. Participants will learn the ancient skill of creating yarn using a simple tool, the drop spindle. The drop spindle has been used for centuries by cultures all over the world as a simple portable device for making basic yarn from a variety of fibres. You will need a spindle and wool rovings. Spindles will be available for sale at the workshop The instructor is Leigh Smith who loves teaching this ancient craft.
Cost is $100 for the day's instruction. Space is limited to allow for individual instruction.
